Biography
A private-sector professional for over 18 years, Ian ‘Patches’ Liburd also served at the top level in the public sector as CEO of the St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports (1995–1999), Director of Maritime Affairs (1999–2000), and Permanent Secretary across several ministries between 2000 and 2010.
Education
He holds an MBA from the University of Bradford Management School and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies from the University of Plymouth’s Faculty of Maritime Studies.
Political Career
He represents East Basseterre, where he was born, and currently serves as Minister of Public Infrastructure, Post, Urban Development and Transport.
